Project |01 Amherst Hotel
and Poetry Center
The design concept of this project is to create a space for people to experience and reflect different aspects of life. Using the most simple shapes, this design implicates the dynamic relationship of solids and voids, vertical and horizontal, and transparent and opaque. By exploring these concepts, the design provides an unique poetry center space that leads the visitors to look inward--- while reading, writing, sharing notes, having conversations, and also a hotel space to look outward--- while resting, looking for inspiration, and exploring new stories.

Project |02 PAPERCUT

A design project created to explore the relationship between two dimensional and three dimensional space. Collages were created based on a given composition, and then were translated into three dimensional models.

Project |03 LIGHTBOX
​
A study of space and light through designing a light path with the concept of focal light aided by play of brilliants. The project aims to give the viewers a subtle and relaxed experience while interacting with the space created within the structure.

Project |04 POETIC OF FORMS
​
The project is a study of forms and material through transformation of 2 dimensional compositions into 3 dimensional models. The project also focuses on using visual elements to combine different design languages as a problem solving process.

Project |05 MONDRIAN TOWER
​
This is a structure designed for a specific site in Geneva, NY. The design is inspired by Mondrian's Red Yellow and Blue Composition and is designed to compliment the surrounding woods with its geometric forms and the way it frames organic shapes in the nature.
